One More Reason
It's interesting the amount of time I sit around contemplating who I am, in direct juxtaposition with going out into the world and BEING who I am. And how I often, or less often, more accurately, I spend wondering what the difference is. I think there is a big difference between what we think we do and what we actually do. Much like, actions speak louder than words. You're head can think so many things all the time. Answers.com says that we can have about 70,000 thoughts per day. Now, what about the amount of things you do in one day. I don't know about you, but I certainly don't do 70,000 things a day. Perhaps there is truth in the phrase, "It's not what you say, it's what you do". Also maybe there is reasonable doubt to believe that "It's the thought that counts". I think about a lot of things... I think about being and astronaut, a vet, an inventor, an architect. But then when I got out to do one of the 70,000 things that I thought about doing. In actuality I only end up doing things that make me happy. And though I think it would be awful cool to do any of those jobs, the way i act, and the way I live my life, and what makes ME happy, is none of those things. I like to dance, and drive, and cuddle with my teddy bear Marvin. Given, none of those things necessarily define me, though, they define me more than having thought about them. I think it's important to spend more time understanding and watching yourself, and how you acted in a certain situation sometimes, than it is to understand how you feel about that situation. I think this is one more reason why it's so important to not try to understand who you are or who you want to be, and just be. It doesn't matter what you look like, or where you're from, or what position you have in society. The simple fact is that, you are who you are, and you do what you like, because being happy and just being... beings. That's who we are. That's who I am.
